DADA has been a world-class designer and manufacturer of T-shirts and hats since 1995. In 1998, the
company expanded its line of high-quality products to footwear with the introduction of DADA shoes. Their purpose was
to provide affordable footwear so that all kids would be able to wear contemporary styles without compromising quality.
Lavetta Willis, President and CEO, is a former Notre Dame basketball player. She also earned an Electrical Engineering Degree
at the prestigious university before pursuing a graduate degree at Loyola Mary Mount Law School. Prior to founding DADA
Footwear, Ms. Willis worked as an engineer.
DADA understands that kids have dreams to get to the NBA
and strongly believes some will make it. However, a great majority will not. These children need to be introduced to other
career opportunities whether they are in the arena of basketball or in some other industry. Innovative and diverse educational
programs empower children and youth to develop the skill sets and soft skills to succeed. To this end, DADA seeks to play
a major role in the development of our youth.
DADA is honored
to be a major sponsor in the Jim Cleamons Books and Basketball Camp and will continue to be involved with quality programs
that give “forward” to the community. DADA elected to partner with SISF and AAUC because the vision and goals
of the organizations parallel those of the company. DADA is excited about the role it is playing in enriching the
education
of the kids participating in the camp as well as providing the opportunity to enjoy DADA quality products.
As a major sponsor of the Jim Cleamons Books and Basketball Camp, DADA is donating T-shirts, shoes, and substantial
financial resources. DADA shoes are sold at all Foot Action, Footlocker, and Finish Line stores as well as at other outlets
of quality footwear. They are also available through East Bay Magazine or online by entering keyword: DADA or DADA Footwear.
It’s all about the kids
and the company wants to grow with them as well as create a tradition of learning and activity for them and their offspring
