OUR CANNED FOOD DRIVE WAS SPECTACULAR

Our can food drive was a day full of fun, fellowship and entertainment.

What started out as just a can food drive was also filled with fellowship. There was free food, drinks, prizes and entertainment for everyone.   The children played football and had a 3 legged race. We were entertained by the children’s puppet ministry ran by Gladys and Greg Pacheco from Victory Outreach of Pomona.   Those who came out brought can food, blankets, soap, toiletries and gift certificates for the homeless. The Inland Valley Council of Churches received the can food and blankets donated by Rancho Christian Center. Some families who were homeless came out and picked up blankets and supplies. Everyone put forth effort to come together and assist families in need. This is what being a community is all about. It’s about reaching out beyond your own circle and giving from your heart. Helping someone else and finding joy in bringing a smile to someone else’s life. We would like to take a special thank you to those who helped to make this event possible. There was pizza donated from Rocky’s Pizza in Ontario. There were donuts from Miss Donuts in Alta Loma. There were gift certificates used to buy hot dogs, hot link sausages and drinks donated by Stater Bros. There were gift certificates from Graziano’s in Upland, Hometown Buffet from Rialto and Rancho Cucamonga, Carls Jr. from Pomona, Baskin Robins from Alta Loma and Frito Lay donated Chips for everyone. We had a Jafra consultant donate for a special prize, and For His Glory ministries, Solid Rock Associates, and Grace Fellowship Church of Upland come out with there support.    Through out the month we had can food drives from Ruth Musser Middle School who gave canned food to the GAP. We had Rancho Cucamonga Middle School have a canned food drive who gave food to North Town. Los Amigos Elementary gave to Sova, Inland Valley Council of Churches. The Ontario Center School canned food drive gave to Somebody Cares Southland. Alta Loma Christian Elementary sent letters home to families to invite them to the event. Alta Loma Jr. High made announcements to students to invite them to the can food drive. Thank you for all your support.
